Ultra-Violet Disinfection & Purification

Why consider ultra-violet disinfection?  Different types of microorganisms such as bacteria, parasites, and viruses can be found in water.  Contaminated wells and aquifers, proximity to wetlands, old water service lines, aging municipal infrastructure etc., can introduce harmful microorganisms into your water.

Ultra-violet disinfection is a safe, effective, and chemical-free way to safeguard against potentially harmful microorganisms.  U.V. is a proven technology used in a variety of industries including the production of food and beverages, cosmetics, and pharmaceuticals.

How does U.V. treatment work?  Ultra-violet treatment is typically applied to water just before it enters the domestic plumbing of a home or commercial building.  The water enters a stainless-steel chamber where it is treated with an intense ultra-violet light.  If there are microorganisms present, the U.V. light inactivates their DNA, thus rendering the microorganism dead and unable to function or replicate.

Ultra-violet systems are available in a variety of sizes and can be specified to fit your water usage requirements.
